Waking up this morning will reveal some unfamiliar surroundings. While Camebit had an autumnal chill in the air, things are a little different, now - the air is frigid, and waking up is an adventure, considering you are swaddled to the nines and cozied right up to your roomie of the week (where you have one, anyways). Everything around you is made of ice and packed snow, fogged glass and porcelain, and it is freezing. Who thought this was a good idea? Even the brisk chill of Camebit in the skies above everything was more forgiving than this! This isn't a transition! Whose manager can you speak to..?

About that.



You have to trek out of the lodging, and over into the building made of actual wood and stone, to actually see your Watchers of the week. They're all dressed in their full cloaks again to combat the chill, even in this building, although both Rameel and Satariel are standing much closer to Yomiel than they usually do - much like they had in Ahnkeen, actually.

"Good morning and welcome to Nerak! If you've ever wondered what it was like to stay at an ice hotel, then you're in luck!" Rameel says with moderate flourish as they make sure to keep close to Yomiel—their daemon currently not found anywhere near them as they make the announcement. Looks like they're without their black box of musical wonders this morning.

While the other two Watchers press close, Yomiel's daemon has wrapped itself around their neck like a polecat scarf. Warm. Arm cradled gently against their chest, they pause to glance at Satariel before greeting everyone. "Try to be careful. The ice can get slippery, especially when you're all looking like that and leaving a mess everywhere you go." Whatever that means.

Satariel seems a little more subdued than usual but offers everyone a smile, daemon bear-shaped against their back, large head peering around at everyone while they take in the travelers that come to join them here in the hotel lobby. Their cloak is completely closed around them - not even the front of their dress can be seen, and they're clearly holding it tightly shut. "Please be nice to the hotel staff - if I catch any of you being rude to them, I'll kick you clear across the tundra before sticking you in their outdoor 'jail' for timeout. We're guests, but they're working hard to accommodate us, alright?"


With the new week, travelers will find that they no longer the adorable animal features they did in Camebit, but something much less cute. Injuries from their pasts have come back to haunt them, major or minor, and they cannot be healed. The good thing is that they don't seem to hurt or really take a toll on the travelers at all - at least, not until they're touched, and then both you the other will feel the pain from the moment the wound was inflicted. This effect lasts all week.

MONDAY
★ The profile scrolls can be found over in the hotel lobby this week!

WEDNESDAY
★ A familiar face has been locked in timeout for bad behavior. While there does appear to be a solid, metal and wood structure underneath it, the "jail" she's imprisoned in is... well, thematically decorated and sculpted.
★ Once the event wraps up for the day, all characters will find a small gift waiting for them in their bedrooms: something small from their home worlds, something lacking in power but not in meaning. How'd that get here?
★ A number of new messages have been posted on the lobby bulletin board. Think you can read through them before the staff takes them down?
★ Near the sculpture garden, there is a melted hole in the ground - 8 feet across, 8 feet deep, with 2 feet of water at the bottom.

THURSDAY
★ The hole is still at the sculpture garden, but the 2 feet of water is now frozen over.

FRIDAY
★ The altar and some of the pews are absolutely hacked and slashed by something sharp, some time after the return of the missing group. Many of the angelic figures carved into the snow/ice inside have also been destroyed.
★ Rika's body will be placed in the ice gardens, laid on a platform among the sculptures and covered in a shroud. The surrounding area will be roped off with a small sign that reads "No entry - except for those who wish to pay respects."

SATURDAY
★ A note has been posted to the bulletin board that reads: To the one who came to see me tonight and whom I spoke with about the note, there's something else I need to discuss with you before tomorrow. - Rochalízo

SUNDAY
★ A note is posted at the hotel lobby right next to where the rooms are.
★ Next to the note attached above is another note that reads: "We can meet with one of the dead to talk to them personally. Only once. Write your questions you want to ask them. We will circle back to this at the next town hall to finalize everything."

[ perhaps a bit more subdued than weeks previous, rameel will quietly slink off after the announcements where they'll disappear for a while. looking for rameel? you want to bother this rameel? well you'll have to wait for them to make not-so-dramatic entrance. they'll make their reappearance in a few places such as the ice gardens and chapel.

one of the more immediately places that they'll pop back up will be just outside of the hotel where they are especially bundled up in extra layers (an extra coat, a beanie with a pom to go over their hood, gloves, and a scarf) as they go about making an army of tiny snow people. why? no reason. they'll have their black box playing a little tune as they work and hum along to it.

oh, guess it should probably be noted that their daemon won't be hiding today as it coils itself around the beanie's pom as it seems to be bundled up in weather appropriate attire, of course. ]

Talk to Yomiel

[ resigned to their fate, yomiel can easily be found in the hotel lobby. similar to ahnkeen, the temperature changes around them, but instead of aircon, they radiate warmth up to a three foot radius. somehow, it doesn't seem to melt the ice at all.

they sleep out here? or in random spots around the hotel, with their daemon curled up next to them in ocelot form. sure, why not, that's probably fine.

otherwise, wander the ice gardens with them! though they'll stop before the maze, looking at it thoughtfully. ]

Talk to Satariel

[ much like rameel, satariel seems to disappear for a little while before they emerge again into this winter wonderland. but they do come out - and every time you see them this week, they'll be swaddled in a new sweater or shawl underneath their cloak and over their dress, often big enough to pull over the top of their skirts despite the layers there. it even seems like there's multiple changes a day? they're getting festive and enjoying the options, looks like! they even top it off with a scarf around their hood at the neck.

their daemon remains a bear as it lumbers along with them, sticking close, also wearing a scarf. you're actually most likely to see this watcher speaking to the staff of the hotel, sympathetic and helpful, establishing an immediate rapport with them.

which means they've made it possible to set out a lot of first aid supplies - primarily bandages, bandaids, and gauze pads, considering the effect of the week - in the lobby for travelers to grab throughout the week. this will be replenished pretty frequently by the hotel staff and satariel both.

otherwise, they're walking through the ice sculpture garden, periodically looking back at the ice maze like they're considering it. ]

... even if it's healed, it'll probably continue to bleed, I'm afraid. It seems to be the effect that's been inflicted on us. I miss my cat ears... [ but they do come to help him out, avoiding touching anywhere near his face and instead opting to focus on that securing it offer. ]

anyways, here is kaeya with his shirt off trying to bandage up one motherfucker of a wound on his shoulder. it is bleeding. like really bleeding, and while it doesn't hurt when he touches it at the moment, it definitely looks like it should hurt. it's a cleaving cut and smells burnt right down to the muscle.

he's tired and he's already bandaged up his other oozing burn wound on his right arm/hand from back in otamo. this is just. not a good day? it'll get better.

let's find out about the unfortunate effects of touching wounds. ]

[ polaris, meanwhile, is having a literal ball. kaeya can be found outside later, scooping up balls of snow and tossing them at his daemon, who gleefully chases, pounces, and bites at them with each toss.

he does come back from time to time when kaeya stops throwing however to just put his wolfy forelegs around him and? hug? and lick his face. ]
