Waking up this morning will reveal some unfamiliar surroundings. The soft ripples of the canals and dulcet tones of otamatone fade from your ears, replaced by a steady, dry breeze and the ambient noise of the local populace filtering in through open windows. Another thing you'll notice is that it's warm - very warm. Light dress is recommended here.

You all awaken in your beds—although they aren't the beds that you found yourself falling asleep in previously, and you might not even see the same face as you had the previous night. But one by one, as you filter out, you find yourselves in a house, a bit on the older side but still comfortable. The decor is neutral and inoffensive, much like you'd expect of a place that sees many visitors.

Unlike the previous worlds you've visited, Ahnkeen is a bustling, busy place, full of people of all sorts - and not all are human, so please check your biases at the door. Though the world around them is dry and scarce of resources, the market town itself is alive and well, business booming, and the merchants here keep a close eye on their wares in case of any thieves.



Traversing down the streets of the housing district are the Temporals. For the most part they seem ready to receive everyone. Throwing their hands into the air and meandering down Rameel will be spearhead the introductions this time—their puma daemon trailing behind them. As an extra treat, they'll even seem to have their “black box” from previous with them this fine morning on full blast.

"Hello, hello everyone! WELCOME TO AHNKEEN!! The home to the great markets...probably. I hope more of you are used to these scenery changes by now, and by popular demand are your favorite Temporals. We've changed the set for the hat trick, but we won't stop there."

Satariel is standing close to Yomiel, their undercloak absent and their daemon raven-formed on their shoulder - it squawks after Rameel yells the welcome, but they offer everyone a warm smile. They do reach over to... turn down the "black box" of Rameel's, without looking, smile still intact. "For those of you that kept your things from previous worlds, especially the treasure from our adventures underwater, you might find that they come in handy here. We are in a market, after all."

The last Watcher has also shed their undercloak, staring at Rameel while their polecat daemon chitters. "Anyway," they turn to the rest with a vague gesture at Satariel. "Try not to steal too much this time. The last few worlds were pretty quiet, but you might run into trouble with the locals here if you keep that up."


With the new week, travelers will find that they are no longer connected physically and emotionally to another participant. As opposed to being drawn to one person in particular, they'll find themselves with the need to be physically close to any other participant they speak to. Go on, hold their hand, get your snuggle on - it'll make you feel better. This effect lasts all week.

[ right after their "introduction", they'll set their little black box down at their feet cheerfully bound up to you with their hands behind their back and a smile on their face. ]

Let's play a game. Out of everyone here, dead or alive, who would you beloathed, beloved, and betrothed?

I'll go first! My beloved would be no other than Yomiel. They make such a great foil to me; so serious and frowning all of the time. My betrothed would definitely be Satariel and I'd be a fool to think otherwise.

[ a moments pause and in a very serious tone: ]

My beloathed would be Qi Rong. I cannot support cannibals.

[grigori]

[ from over by the fountains ]

Stop dragging me into your weird games!

[cranelike]

But you won't play my games?!

(OFFENDED???)

I'm not playing theirs, either!

[ WHY ARE YOU OFFENDED? THIS IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY REJECTION. ]

Why not!? It's a true statement!

[ yelling back. ]

[grigori]

Because I said stop!

[senjinrouha]

[ raised hand. ]

Does it count as a fair game when everyone's beloathed would be the same person?

[ thinks. ]

I think that's okay. No one should like a cannibal.

That sounds like sound advice. Never like or trust a cannibal.

My objections to the very notion of playing games right now aside, should not one's beloved and betrothed be one in the same?

[grigori]

Oh! They should be but sometimes you love someone but you don't want to marry them.

[winebar]

Certainly, but if you do not want to marry the one you love why would you want to marry anyone else, either? If you're going to waste time at least do so coherently.

[grigori]

[ calling from a stall: ] You could only hope, Rameel!

[grigori]

[ yelling back and swooning dramatically. ]

And oh do I hope!

[grigori]

[ dramatically blows a kiss back at them ]

Are you allowed to share a beloathed? I'm not interested in the other two, really. I suppose unless 'beloved' would be friendship?

[grigori]

We can all hate Qi Rong. He deserves it.

[ hmmmmm. ]

Beloved can be friendship as a treat.

[yueshen]

Then, in the most platonic of ways, it would be Susato! That is very easy.

If you want me to answer that question you'd need to get me drunk first.

[ they'll snap their fingers. ]

How much does he hate himself. But also he could really go for a drink? ]

The opposites attract dynamic is always a fun one. I bet you and Yomiel would make a lovely couple~.

My beloved would be hmm… Nine; we just work together. My betrothed would probably be, um, Flat? I think Flat would take care of me.

Beloathed would be that monster that cut up my shoulder! [ is that cheating ]

Right? I think so too but Yomiel won't have any of it, but don't worry, it won't slow me down.

[ they'll laugh amused then nod at her choices. flat is. a choice. but he's still a choice. ]

Interesting choices. Nine, Flat, and a monster... I'll allow the last one to go through. It's very understanding.

[bloodyromance]

[Bemused, he crosses his arms.]

Hmm, congrats on the engagement, Satariel's a real catch.

Out of everyone here... don't suppose you can be my beloathed? [Said like he's asking Rameel to prom.]

Also I saw Akira getting alcohol out of this, I want that too.

How can you ask me to be your beloathed and then ask me for alcohol in a single breath? Heartless.

What have I done to deserve this?
