WEEK THREE MINGLE 2.0
ahnkeen: week 3 mingle
in the sands of time
in the sands of time
32 Remain
Waking up this morning will reveal some unfamiliar surroundings. The soft ripples of the canals and dulcet tones of otamatone fade from your ears, replaced by a steady, dry breeze and the ambient noise of the local populace filtering in through open windows. Another thing you'll notice is that it's warm - very warm. Light dress is recommended here.
You all awaken in your beds—although they aren't the beds that you found yourself falling asleep in previously, and you might not even see the same face as you had the previous night. But one by one, as you filter out, you find yourselves in a house, a bit on the older side but still comfortable. The decor is neutral and inoffensive, much like you'd expect of a place that sees many visitors.
Unlike the previous worlds you've visited, Ahnkeen is a bustling, busy place, full of people of all sorts - and not all are human, so please check your biases at the door. Though the world around them is dry and scarce of resources, the market town itself is alive and well, business booming, and the merchants here keep a close eye on their wares in case of any thieves.

Traversing down the streets of the housing district are the Temporals. For the most part they seem ready to receive everyone. Throwing their hands into the air and meandering down Rameel will be spearhead the introductions this time—their puma daemon trailing behind them. As an extra treat, they'll even seem to have their “black box” from previous with them this fine morning on full blast.
"Hello, hello everyone! WELCOME TO AHNKEEN!! The home to the great markets...probably. I hope more of you are used to these scenery changes by now, and by popular demand are your favorite Temporals. We've changed the set for the hat trick, but we won't stop there."
Satariel is standing close to Yomiel, their undercloak absent and their daemon raven-formed on their shoulder - it squawks after Rameel yells the welcome, but they offer everyone a warm smile. They do reach over to... turn down the "black box" of Rameel's, without looking, smile still intact. "For those of you that kept your things from previous worlds, especially the treasure from our adventures underwater, you might find that they come in handy here. We are in a market, after all."
The last Watcher has also shed their undercloak, staring at Rameel while their polecat daemon chitters. "Anyway," they turn to the rest with a vague gesture at Satariel. "Try not to steal too much this time. The last few worlds were pretty quiet, but you might run into trouble with the locals here if you keep that up."

With the new week, travelers will find that they are no longer connected physically and emotionally to another participant. As opposed to being drawn to one person in particular, they'll find themselves with the need to be physically close to any other participant they speak to. Go on, hold their hand, get your snuggle on - it'll make you feel better. This effect lasts all week.

Oh. Um, yeah! [ She snickers, shoulders trembling. ] You’re… maybe Rex should have a try — I…
Why are the balls so big?
no subject
[ Rex draws another dick, way bigger. He looks very pleased with himself. This is not the pen's work. ]
no subject
Rex, he can expect that from, maybe Reze, but van Zieks? Looks at his attempts to scribble it out... ]
There are other ways to check if the pens work. [ Glances at Rex's work. ] ..Probably a bit too late now.
no subject
[HE IS BEING ASSAULTED ON ALL SIDES.]
I did not- What sort of man do you take me for, Kim Dokja!? Obviously when I said they did not work I was referring to some sort of crude curse that makes it impossible for one to draw anything else!
[HE WOULD NEVER DRAW A DICK ON PURPOSE, HOW DARE YOU.]
F-for that matter, I do not know what makes you think yourself an expert, miss Reze!
no subject
[ anyway ]
I mean… it’s eye-catching, so we should definitely get some business out of it! If not complaints!

..Huh. That makes our work harder to manage. Rex, no more penises. Or at least make them small and shape them together in a heart or bow.
[ At least it won't look too weird if their signs are covered in hearts and bows. Unless they inspect close enough and realize they're actually tiny penises.
... Anyways. ] Is it just these pens provided? Reze, do you have anything else we can work with?
no subject
[STOP TWISTING HIS WORDS.]
Kim Dokja is right. No one is going to frequent a business with such a sign. Lewd imagery aside, the name of the business is not even upon it.
no subject
[ She hums lightly to herself, catching a glimpse of her hand that’s newly polished. ]
We could use nail polish? I’d just have to see what colors the girls hated most and left alone.
[ And speaking of!!! names!!! ]
Yeah I’d personally hate it if Reze & Co. Cupid Services was decorated with dicks. Lemme go see if I can find somethin’ we can work with. [ and runs off briefly after dropping the d bomb ]
no subject
...can they be dicks arranged in the shape of hearts and bows?
no subject
If you have enough nail polish, Reze. [ Wait. ] Did we already decide on that name? [ ... ] Actually, yeah, that's fine for a name. [ He doesn't want his own name to be related to penis sign. ]
[ Looking back at Rex. ] Long as they aren't super obvious, do what you can.
no subject
[SURELY THE ACTUAL BUSINESS OWNER WOULD PREFER YOU NOT? Van Zieks starts to say more but instead he gets whacked in the face by the inflateable tube man.]
no subject
I got this purple! [ praise her... PRAISE HER... ]
Ahhhh, I don't think they'll mind~ We'll just say it's a collaboration! Besides, who would deny a cute girl like myself an opportunity to become an entrepreneur?
no subject
[ Rex too gets taken out by the tube man ]
no subject
We should... try to find some people to matchmake-- [ Dokja isn't safe, he also gets whacked by a tube man. ]
no subject
How are we supposed to matchmake for perfect strangers, though.
[He will regret saying this surely since it will give Reze the idea to pick out dates for the men.]
no subject
Dokja and Joonghyuk are obviously lovers, but Dokja would also match really well with someone like Dil —
[ AND THEN SHE GETS SMACKED ON THE BACK OF THE HEAD.
But she smacks it back! ]
Rude. Anyway, as I was saying.
Dokja would match well with Diluc — maybe Miss Yelena, if he’s lucky and can act right. Rex is childish and easy to tease so I can see him with either of our set of twins.
And uncle… the best guy here who’d be worthy of his affection would be Mister Kotetsu.
no subject
[Van Zieks slams his leg on the table and probably disrupts whatever Rex was drawing at the moment, whoops.]
Absolutely not. I do not care if you involve the others here but kindly leave me out of it.
no subject
She slams her hand down on the table! ]
And what’s your argument for why I can’t? Shouldn’t I be able to treat you the same as I do the other two — it wouldn’t be considered “equal” otherwise!
no subject
no subject
Have fun with discussing your own lovelife van Zieks, Dokja here needs a moment. ] W-We're not...!
no subject
For one, I completely reject your assignment! It is absurd! I would never-
[The tube man hits him again, and he thwacks it back.]
Clearly Mr Kim also disagrees with your analysis!
no subject
[ She places a hand to her chest, her fingers splayed out. She poses like a woman of utmost elegance, scoffing. ]
A matchmaking expert? I have my doubts! All of you are men -- and a young boy -- who have clearly have had your first kiss here! If you've even done that much, cherry boys.
no subject
no subject
[ Stares flatly at Reze, daughter please. Anyways he has a tube man under his arm to avoid it smacking him anymore. ]
