Good morning, everyone! Hopefully you're well-rested, because there's a long day ahead of you.
The start of the day is yours to do with what you want, but come 11:45 AM, your daemons will feel a compulsion to lead you to chapel and will ensure that you're up and moving to head there. You can certainly resist it, but by the time 11:55 AM rolls around... you'll find your feet taking you there, regardless, if you aren't there already. There's no exceptions—it seems that this gathering is mandatory, as you'll find that your fellow travelers are all heading to the same destination as you.
Waiting in the chapel for your arrival are Satariel, Rameel, and Yomiel. Tables for offerings sit at the front end of the room. They've been left empty for the day ahead - save for one, where plates, bowls, cups, and cutlery have been stacked neatly for later in the day. Some snacks and drinks have been provided for the early portion of the day, and proper food for later. Come noon, once everyone is within the chapel, they'll find that the doors close and lock behind them.
Sporting a bit of a different look with their long blonde locks gone, Rameel will be leaning against the podium upfront with a lazy smile on their face. Their wounds and injuries from yesterday seemingly healed up completely sans one more permanent injury. And even though it looks as if they were going to say something, they ultimately don't and pass their turn.
Yomiel looks much better than yesterday, wounds healed, broken wings set, and clothing repaired. Speaking too much seems to be a bit of a strain, though, as their voice is still scratchy and rough. "You've don't have much time to find Mikotoba. Don't waste it."
Satariel is curled up in one of the pews, wrapped in their cloak and a blanket and looking tired. But they are paying attention, and their daemon paces slowly nearby as a bear, snuffling at anyone that comes close enough as though checking them over as well. It still does not touch. The Watcher sounds - quiet, for once. "Let's get started. And, while it won't matter to the trial... for your numbers, Miss Rika was a Celestial."
Every hour that passes, the chapel bell will ring out with the time. The pressure's on, good luck.
Trial start
Business stops for no one! Welcome, everyone, to our sixth trial. For the next nine hours, characters are expected to investigate the setting, compile and examine evidence, locate any unalive and unaccounted for members of their group, and theorize about the going ons of Thursday night/Friday morning that lead up to this point.
Mod breaks will run a little differently than they have in past games. There will be a three hour block starting at 4 PM EST/1 PM PST and ending at 7 PM EST/4 PM PST, where we'll be cycling one mod out at a time to take an hour long break while the other two remain to keep tags going and answer any questions players might have. We encourage players to take a break at any point during this timeframe, but the player-designated break will be at the traditional 5 - 6 PM EST time! Reference our timezones if need be.
Voting is mandatory in Chasma, acting as our activity check for the week. Please ensure that you've submitted your vote before 9:05 PM EST/6:05 PM PST, unless you've spoken with the mods previously, as we'll begin tallying votes on the dot.

With that done, however, she moves to join Reze. Is there glitter visible in those drops of water? Anything else on the floor?
How is the door busted in, exactly? Like, did someone beat the shit out of it or did they somehow just fucking punch it down? Is it still attached to the doorframe? Monika will be looking for damage that would be consistent with the ski poles, of course.

for reze: do not fight the staff member. satariel has shooed them off so that the girl squad doesn't turn into brawl squad. but the second pole is in the door to the sauna, on the sauna side - the door to the locker room is now behind you, across the room, and leads into the hotel where the ski pole was wedged on the hotel side. the water does not lead anywhere and is only some minor drops.
for the door itself! it was beaten rather than just outright punched, so it was forced open with a lot of effort. it's still on the hinges, through valiant effort.
the floor is wet, immediately at the door. it shimmers. here's some glittery water! ]

Do both of the ski poles look wrecked enough to account for the damage to the door?
And just to confirm I read that correctly: The ski pole was wedged into the door leading to the sauna room, but facing the hotel? Or was it wedged into the door behind them, that leads to the locker room and the hotel? English...
How much water is on the floor? Like... enough to account for a single snowglobe, or a bit more than that? Any shards of glass or anything else on the floor?
Monika will peer past the door and into the sauna room to see what's up besides this moist wetness.]

How's the door jamb? Are there any marks on there to see if it's possibly broken?

ski poles, plural: the one that was given to them by the staff member was on the outside of the locker room door, hotel side, bent but the door intact. the one that reze found on the inside of the sauna is heavily bent and was on the sauna side. neither was placed in the door handles from inside of the locker room, but rather from outside.
door jamb: janky, suffered the most damage of the door being busted in. the strike plate has been wrenched out of the door itself. it's on the floor in the glittery water.
speaking of glittery water - there's more than what would account for one snow globe. there would be many snow globes, actually, and they will find that some glass in amongst all the teehee glitter along with pieces of the snowglobe bases and interior trinkets and whatnot. but no, ryezea, all of it is silvery or white, some of it shaped like actual snowflakes if they want to take a closer look. there is nothing in here that's capital D Dust, and they've seen enough of it by now that we hope they would know.
monika gets to see a bunch of friends! they're white teddy bears, possibly cutesy polar bears, that are just. hanging out! a couple have been knocked over. they're in the gift shop so they aren't weird, they're just out of place. ]

Does... Does the damage on the door look like someone repeatedly body slammed into the door or something else entirely? Was the strike plate, like, ripped the fuck off?

five bases can be either cobbled together or located! someone wanted a lot of winter merriment and cheer in here, i guess.
does this help, kyuu? the red slashes indicate what side the poles were on - the locker room was blocked off, not the sauna or hotel.
the door does look damaged by body slam more than anything else, but is not horribly dented, so it was not superpowered or battering ram levels of damage done, if that makes sense. a normal human person was trying to break down the door because the other side was jammed. the strike plate is what the mechanism of a door clicks into, so it would suffer the most damage if the handle couldn't turn, thus preventing the click from unclicking.
there are some vaguely globe shaped pieces of glass, but a lot of it is itty bitty. there are - a very large amount of bears. are you moving any in this quest to count them? they are kind of scattered where they're not upright. ]

Is there enough itty bitty glass to account for five snowglobes?
Monika will take note of how the bears are scattered around and placed before moving them. After that, she will join Reze in picking them up and lining them up for a consistent count.
Is there blood or anything stuck to the plushie fur? Any visible damage to these poor teddy bears? She would check the spots where they used to be in case they were concealing anything, and also shake them a little just in case something will fall out.]

sometimes the fact that we have a text-based hobby makes life really hard. but i am the map keeper and i have the power.
there's enough glass to probably account for the five globes, yes. there's - maybe a dozen? bears? give or take a few, and none of them are in the water, luckily. but picking them up makes them sing obnoxious jingles the moment that they're moved, so it's likely there's a motion sensing mechanism inside them. shaking them rattles them, but nothing falls out, and they don't seem to have suffered anything besides the glittersplosion fallout. annoying, cute, but undamaged.
once they've sorted out the bears, they can take a look around the rest of the sauna room. ]

But okay -- how's the window in the room? Is there any smears from a hand or otherwise? Assuming all the glass on the floor is from the snowglobes, would it be safe to assume that the window is undamaged? ]

Hmm... Since Monika spent the other night in here, she will start to check the seats, floor, ceilings and wall for any damage or markings that weren't there before.
She will also take a look inside the, uh, hearth? I do not know what the heat pit thingy is actually called.]

the window is undamaged! reze gets to find out that it's actually open! the heat of the sauna offsets the chill from outside, at least. the window opens outwards, likely more for maintenance and cleaning than enjoying the weather, or something like that.
some blood drips lead to it, no discernable pattern and like someone was bleeding sluggishly and periodically drip dropping - just like the locker room. there's a trail of partial shoeprints of glitter water, but it would be hard to get a proper impression of the size from them since they're only partials. gomen.
on one of the walls, there's a piece of paper stabbed into the wood with a kitchen knife. wow!
there's a pile of towels that you can rifle through if you like. ]

knife! knife is fine, with general use, and monika will recognize it as that knife yet. the note says the following:

reze rifles through the towels and finds one (1) fingerprinting kit. ]If you have found this letter, I might have failed, or I might have been whisked away to that place out of time.

For thoroughness, Monika will walk through all the rooms while avoiding the evidence, looking at the floor, walls and ceiling for anything they may have missed. The door frames and light fixtures, too. She will also double check the lockers, just in case.
Will Satariel help them bring back the rest of the teddy bears?]
