Waking up this morning will reveal some unfamiliar surroundings. While Camebit had an autumnal chill in the air, things are a little different, now - the air is frigid, and waking up is an adventure, considering you are swaddled to the nines and cozied right up to your roomie of the week (where you have one, anyways). Everything around you is made of ice and packed snow, fogged glass and porcelain, and it is freezing. Who thought this was a good idea? Even the brisk chill of Camebit in the skies above everything was more forgiving than this! This isn't a transition! Whose manager can you speak to..?

About that.



You have to trek out of the lodging, and over into the building made of actual wood and stone, to actually see your Watchers of the week. They're all dressed in their full cloaks again to combat the chill, even in this building, although both Rameel and Satariel are standing much closer to Yomiel than they usually do - much like they had in Ahnkeen, actually.

"Good morning and welcome to Nerak! If you've ever wondered what it was like to stay at an ice hotel, then you're in luck!" Rameel says with moderate flourish as they make sure to keep close to Yomiel—their daemon currently not found anywhere near them as they make the announcement. Looks like they're without their black box of musical wonders this morning.

While the other two Watchers press close, Yomiel's daemon has wrapped itself around their neck like a polecat scarf. Warm. Arm cradled gently against their chest, they pause to glance at Satariel before greeting everyone. "Try to be careful. The ice can get slippery, especially when you're all looking like that and leaving a mess everywhere you go." Whatever that means.

Satariel seems a little more subdued than usual but offers everyone a smile, daemon bear-shaped against their back, large head peering around at everyone while they take in the travelers that come to join them here in the hotel lobby. Their cloak is completely closed around them - not even the front of their dress can be seen, and they're clearly holding it tightly shut. "Please be nice to the hotel staff - if I catch any of you being rude to them, I'll kick you clear across the tundra before sticking you in their outdoor 'jail' for timeout. We're guests, but they're working hard to accommodate us, alright?"


With the new week, travelers will find that they no longer the adorable animal features they did in Camebit, but something much less cute. Injuries from their pasts have come back to haunt them, major or minor, and they cannot be healed. The good thing is that they don't seem to hurt or really take a toll on the travelers at all - at least, not until they're touched, and then both you the other will feel the pain from the moment the wound was inflicted. This effect lasts all week.

[He looks over at the dog Reze indicated and he just chuckles. There is currently another dog, a big boy that's very shy and bashful to match with Erastis' own shyness, and they're both dancing around his legs trying to say hello but getting nervous.

Spike is tired of their shit.]

I don't think there's actually anything I can even say to defend myself from that.

[He does kneel down to scratch Bashful's ears, though, which has the added benefit of making him stop.]

[ Really love that A Qing herself is just. A part of the difficulties we have to face. Amazing. ]

[ Though meanwhile she's like. Hmmmm. She's hiding behind Spike for some reason. Wow, so many, um, dogs. She's also leaving a trail of red from the bleeding effect but surely we're getting used to that at this point. ]

She looks over to Power, canting her head slightly before she finally decides to take their objective seriously. ]

Alright, so can I just assume that none of us have ever been sledding before? Specifically dog sledding.

[ yall gotta carry her on your shoulders or something clearly. maybe just tie her to the front like a great big screaming ornament. ]

What is dog sledding?

[ she's face first in dog, but the innocent question sounds innocent enough. definitely not a case of a-qing being a little shit, right? but happy definitely thinks it's a good question cause he's just burying her in licks ]

Went werewolf sledding one christmas. It's a bit different 'cuz you also have to hit them every time they try to veer off to go eat someone.

But honestly, I think some of these dogs might be more useful for it than others. [Bashful whines, and Spike ruffles his fur.]

[ Listen... the smell of dogs and the sound of their barking doesn't exactly have a positive impression on Power. Even though she's making fun of Spike, she's still counting on him to be the barrier dividing herself and Bashful. ]

Perhaps we are meant to use these animals as vessels to go sliding down the snow?

That's the idea, but I've personally never done this -- just hoping we all don't end up crashing into something and actually breaking bones. Or worse.

Plus, with A-Qing we've gotta figure out how to get down there all together.

[Bashful looks up at Power from behind the front of Spike's leg and whines at her shyly.]

Power volunteers to stay here with A Qing if she must.

[ The dogs, man. They just give her uncomfy vibes. She just shuffles a bit as Bashful looks at her, eyes narrowing. Listen she's got nothing against you, dog. She just has reservations about being loved on by a bunch of you at once, especially. The smell of pupper and blood in the air is really giving her some bad memories. ]

I can carry A-Qing easily and Power can cling to Spike, if need be.

[ She makes a gesture with her hand. ]

Those are our current options! We'll do a majority vote of just me and Spike or all of us together, after that we gotta get this show on the road. Cause look --

[ No one's probably noticed, but Grumpy currently has her hand in their mouth. Not biting, but obviously growling. ] They wanna go out and have some fun~.

[ pls carry her like a princess, Reze. she, however, absolutely does not notice her current predicament either while she's got happy in her arms, Ready Go Roll. ]

Whichever is the easiest, I suppose.

[He glances at A-Qing, then at Power, then at Reze. Power will probably like sledding, dogs or no. And while he and Reze aren't actively attacking eachother in every interaction anymore, he thinks she might also just push him out of the sleigh for a laugh if Power's not there. Power might also do that but that's fine because he'll just drag her with him.]

Honestly? Might as well just carry 'em. They're both pretty tiny. [He nudges Bashful away from Power and directs Erastis to go distract him, taking him away from the two of them. Then he looks down at Power.] That sound alright with you, brat?

[ Please. Both of you are her Friends^TM, stopmean to each other pwease. She detaches herself from Spike for a hot second if only to put her super padded and puffy-jacketed hands on her hips, looking up at him. ]

I am not tiny! Bigger than the other two even!

[ Because for some reason she is taller than Reze AND A Qing, and is in fact one of the taller girls in the CSM series being barely shorter than Denji himself. Power's surprising rights.

That being said, she's gonna start climbing Spike like a tree, provided he doesn't just shove her off, and cling onto his back like a terrible backpack. Chin on his shoulder. ]

[ Well, Grumpy finally let's go of her hand. Obviously they're getting somewhere! His tail is wagging feverishly, excited to get on with the race.

Reze approaches A-Qing... time to go, little one. ]

[Spike calling Power tiny is hilarious considering she's three whole inches shorter than him, but he lifts her up in a piggyback ride. If he needs his arms, he'll just let her know.]

Right, so now we just uh... gotta figure out how to sled.

[ Volunteering A Qing for potato sack. She points ahead, down the hill. ]

We use the dogs, yes?! Their fur will make excellent insulation against the cold! [ Did y'all miss when she said the dogs were for sledding, she meant using the dogs AS the sleds, you know? ] But where are we heading?

[ Reze bends down a tad, just so A-Qing can secure her arms. She reaches down from behind to scoop her up, standing up (not) tall with a small grunt. ]

Ah, you’re nice and light. This’ll be easy.

[ Now back to Spike and Power. ]

That’s not exactly how it works — But an A for effort! ] Approaching the actual sled, she notices something. ] Oh, we might actually be able to lie one of our friends on the sled. It looks like it’s designed that way, at least.

[ She then looks to Power, beaming. ]

[ a-qing, peeking over reze's shoulder, sticks her tongue out at powers direction. you're a sack of flour!!!

but at the idea and image of power being sledded down the track(?) has her giggling quietly. yes, perfect. she likes this idea ]

[Spike has sled related things to discuss, but then Power gets viciously assaulted right before his eyes and all he can do is stare.]
