Waking up this morning will reveal some unfamiliar surroundings. While Camebit had an autumnal chill in the air, things are a little different, now - the air is frigid, and waking up is an adventure, considering you are swaddled to the nines and cozied right up to your roomie of the week (where you have one, anyways). Everything around you is made of ice and packed snow, fogged glass and porcelain, and it is freezing. Who thought this was a good idea? Even the brisk chill of Camebit in the skies above everything was more forgiving than this! This isn't a transition! Whose manager can you speak to..?

About that.

You have to trek out of the lodging, and over into the building made of actual wood and stone, to actually see your Watchers of the week. They're all dressed in their full cloaks again to combat the chill, even in this building, although both Rameel and Satariel are standing much closer to Yomiel than they usually do - much like they had in Ahnkeen, actually.

"Good morning and welcome to Nerak! If you've ever wondered what it was like to stay at an ice hotel, then you're in luck!" Rameel says with moderate flourish as they make sure to keep close to Yomiel—their daemon currently not found anywhere near them as they make the announcement. Looks like they're without their black box of musical wonders this morning.

While the other two Watchers press close, Yomiel's daemon has wrapped itself around their neck like a polecat scarf. Warm. Arm cradled gently against their chest, they pause to glance at Satariel before greeting everyone. "Try to be careful. The ice can get slippery, especially when you're all looking like that and leaving a mess everywhere you go." Whatever that means.

Satariel seems a little more subdued than usual but offers everyone a smile, daemon bear-shaped against their back, large head peering around at everyone while they take in the travelers that come to join them here in the hotel lobby. Their cloak is completely closed around them - not even the front of their dress can be seen, and they're clearly holding it tightly shut. "Please be nice to the hotel staff - if I catch any of you being rude to them, I'll kick you clear across the tundra before sticking you in their outdoor 'jail' for timeout. We're guests, but they're working hard to accommodate us, alright?"

With the new week, travelers will find that they no longer the adorable animal features they did in Camebit, but something much less cute. Injuries from their pasts have come back to haunt them, major or minor, and they cannot be healed. The good thing is that they don't seem to hurt or really take a toll on the travelers at all - at least, not until they're touched, and then both you the other will feel the pain from the moment the wound was inflicted. This effect lasts all week.

I've forgotten everything I've ever known about Kaeya.

[First he is going to go change. He does not have the tiddy for the window. It's there, mocking him for being flat.

[He turns away, takes a breath, and resigns himself to what is about to happen. Then, when he turns around... it's with a dramatic flourish.]

Ladies and gentlemen, if I may have your attention... It appears we have been gathered here for a reason.

Yes, in this very place, among these very people... a mystery lurks! A most sinister deception, the truth of which shall soon be laid bare before your very eyes.

[Did you know that Kim can act? Surprise! He's doing a fake British accent and everything.]

[meanwhile Allen does a DYNAMIC POSING--this is what superheroes do, right?]

But don't fear! Wild Tiger is here to bring the villain to justice!

[It's a good thing that two of this group can act because Nero?

Nero panics. His head is totally blank. This is entirely too much attention on him, what has Kaeya done? What is Kaeya like.

He... sexily bites the thumb of his glove and starts pulling it off.

HE DOESN'T HAVE TO TALK IF HE STRIPS???]

[Are you guys okay...? Nero? Nero, you good? ... Kim will just try to continue.]

The question is... what is the nature of this deceit? What wrong has been committed among us? The answer...

[He twirls over to "Wild Tiger" and snaps his fingers with thunderous precision.]

... will be told by the curious item by your feet, my good fellow!

[What's at his feet? Well, the prop box is really close to Allen right now. Kim gives a subtle gesture -- I don't know. Just grab something.]

[idk how to act like a superhero, i'm a clown?!?! BUT HE FOLLOWS ALONG WITH A DRAMATIC POINT TO THE BOX!]

So it's as easy as that, is it? The next item to be pulled out will reveal the true culprit!

[he dramatically reaches down and pulls out--!

a white coat???? it was the first thing he grabbed, ok.]

[He has remembered slightly more about Kaeya and will cease his incredibly slow stripping. (thank god.)]

A white coat? Hmm... Xie Lian does tend to wear several layers of white. Could it be he's the reason for our mystery? Or perhaps it's Kim Dokja? We should inspect the evidence more closely before arriving at our final verdict.

Perhaps discarded by a doctor or a scientist?

[Do we even have those here.]

But what reason could our mystery person have to be in such a hurry, that they would drop this coat in their haste?

[He puts a pipe to his lips to contemplate the question. It's a toy pipe. Bubbles come out of it.]

Our next piece of evidence will surely reveal the truth!

[Is he not going to properly identify the evidence they already have in front of their faces, first? Guess not.]

[this is less superhero and more magician pulling things out of a hat, what even is this.

this time he pulls out... a walking stick????]

Interesting! So this was the weapon, was it?

[swings it around!]

For the record, kids should never play around with these things so idly! They're used for support and to help people get around! Not for hitting each other!

Our suspect, having feigned a need for walking assistance, suddenly cast aside their walking stick and broke into a run when we arrived on the scene! But where could they have fled to...? There appears to be no place to hide in this room!

[That's probably not true. At the very least there's, like, wherever they went to change, but whatever.]

Hm... so they'd have to be hiding in plain sight, isn't that right?

So, that would mean... a disguise!

[and he delves into the box once more... PULLING OUT A PAIR OF VERY FAMILIAR GLASSES!]

Now, now, let's not be too hasty. Just because it looks like there are no places to hide doesn't mean that's necessarily true.

Let's take a careful look at our evidence so far. A white coat, glasses and a cane?

Who would discard all of that, Detective?

Why, it must be an elderly professor.

[Confidently wrong, probably.]

And this is why you should be caring for your elderly!

Or perhaps, more likely, somebody was only impersonating an elderly professor.

No one who goes with glasses would throw them away so easily!

Indeed... which is what led me to my startling conclusion. Observe, for I shall now reveal the truth of this entire affair!

[He raises a single finger, in preparation to dazzle you all with a Logic and Reasoning Spectacular...]

[The "French"-accented deadpan voice is back. The audience is appalled.]

Thank goodness. I don't think I could do Mister Wild Tiger justice.

[taking off his mask and tossing it back into the box.]
