22 Remain
Another week, another world to explore. Once again, waking brings you to unfamiliar surroundings, the bitter touch of Nerak cold fading to the more mild weather of autumn. The sound of cars or people talking or faint music greets your ears, no matter the time of day or night, and the light pollution is intense. Hope you weren't counting on seeing the stars.
Welcome to Kings, where you'll have your pick of shopping, entertainment, cute date spots, or just about anything else that you can think of! The city has something to offer for everyone. You'll never be wanting for things to do here - just try not to get lost in the subways. The locals may not be the most willing to help out.

Waiting for you to join them in the main plaza of Star Circle are Baraqiel, Shamsiel, and Suriel. You might have to push your way through the crowds to reach them properly, but no one's blinking an eye at your Watchers today. There are other people in costume hanging around already. What's a few angels to add to the antics?
Suriel greets everyone with their usual cheerful smile, fox daemon pressed close to their ankles to avoid getting lost in the crowd. "I bet this world reminds a bunch of you of home, huh? Let's all make the most of it while we're here!"
Baraqiel heaves a sigh, daemon weasel-formed and half-hidden in the folds of their hood as it suspiciously squints at every noise its little ears pick up. "Speak for yourself." They do not seem 100% thrilled with this worldhop, come the new week, but do at least offer something to the travelers gathered. "For those of you less used to cities like this, there are motorized vehicles of varying sizes in Kings - try not to get run over by them."
With a soft laugh, Shamsiel will look at Baraqiel and gently pat them on their upper arm and their falconet daemon will then proceed to take flight from their shoulder. At least they seem to be relieved that Baraqiel gave them a warning for those who aren't going to be familiar with it. "And much like the previous worlds we've been to, please be mindful of what you end up doing here. We are just visitors, after all, and it'd be rude if we left it all a mess."

As for your effect of the week... Your past injuries have cleared, with no phantom pains left to haunt you, your loved ones, or your launders. Instead, you'll find that you are unable to speak dishonestly - any time you try, your words get stuck on the tip of your tongue and never quite make it out. It's honesty week, lads - no more lying to yourselves or anyone else.

[Looking it over and squinting at the bottom of it, before taking a careful sip...]
[....]
[He swallows.]
There's rubber balls on the bottom...?
no subject
They're not rubber, babe. They actually taste pretty good - chew on one of them. Again! Carefully! Choking hazard is real!
no subject
[THEIR BALL TEA???]
[But he'll do as followed, and....huh.]
It's...quite chewy!
no subject
Isn't it? I kind of like it. Weird texture, but good. [she drinks some of hers...] What will the moderns think of next.
You're all really into tea though, right? That's what Ss - uh. [...] That's what I heard.
no subject
...Ah. That is true. [Yes, he...understood what she was going to say. He sighs.] Though honestly, I'm also partial to coffee.
no subject
Well, lucky you. I stole some money off of Kaeya earlier while he was distracted, so I can treat you to some coffee later.
no subject
Oh? Dear me, you may be as well adept in larceny as I am! I do appreciate it, though. You must allow me to treat you in turn.
no subject
that makes her laugh a bit. she's also like, very touched to see the bracelet on his arm? she's still wearing her's, too.]
Well, you know I'm not going to say no to being treated. [she teases him, holding his hand for now. she's cold, as always, but that's okay.] But you really oughta just let me do some spoiling for once.
no subject
[He doesn't mind her being cold. His metal hand on his left arm is cold, to.]
no subject
I - oofa doofa, sugar mother sounds twice as horrible as sugar mama? Did you know that? No, just - we can be friends who uh, who do stuff for each other, that's just fine with me.
[sorry she's still laughing]
no subject
[He's snorting at that, before her giggles, contagious, start him laughing.]
Friends it is! Friends we are.
no subject
she giggles like a wild idiot for like a full fifteen seconds before sucking in a breath and leaning back to wipe a tear from her eye. god.
sometimes she needs the giggles, though. she thinks maybe he does too.]
Friends we are. [she hums, fondly.] ... What are you getting up to this week, huh? Being careful as always, right?
no subject
[Phew. He calms down, nodding as he pats her hand.]
But I think I'll enjoy what gifts this world presents. Will you?
no subject
[there's a pause, where she opens her mouth, and then she just sort of like falters, holding onto the table for a second.
and then, like nothing happened (though her ear flicks back):]
Of course, yeah, I am a heathen, so I'll take advantage of gifts and pleasures as much as possible.
no subject
[He notices that, frowning with concern.]
Are you quite alright, my dear?
no subject
[waves a hand. reaches for her tea.]
no subject
[LUP :(]
no subject
... I'll take a nap later. I have my own room now, you know.
no subject
[:O]
You do? Really? That's excellent!

Honestly, it's quite nice to see you every time we travel. You've become a part of our little group, for sure.
no subject
The people, too. From Otamo.
no subject
[looks at flurry from behind the screen]
Yes, I can imagine. Perhaps we'll visit it again, and you can see all your friends.
no subject
Hah! Hopefully. [she traces the lid of her cup.] Hopefully.
no subject
[He's reaching into his satchel and pulling out....his otamatone.]
Do you know what this is, Lup?
