Another week, another world to explore. Once again, waking brings you to unfamiliar surroundings, the bitter touch of Nerak cold fading to the more mild weather of autumn. The sound of cars or people talking or faint music greets your ears, no matter the time of day or night, and the light pollution is intense. Hope you weren't counting on seeing the stars.

Welcome to Kings, where you'll have your pick of shopping, entertainment, cute date spots, or just about anything else that you can think of! The city has something to offer for everyone. You'll never be wanting for things to do here - just try not to get lost in the subways. The locals may not be the most willing to help out.



Waiting for you to join them in the main plaza of Star Circle are Baraqiel, Shamsiel, and Suriel. You might have to push your way through the crowds to reach them properly, but no one's blinking an eye at your Watchers today. There are other people in costume hanging around already. What's a few angels to add to the antics?

Suriel greets everyone with their usual cheerful smile, fox daemon pressed close to their ankles to avoid getting lost in the crowd. "I bet this world reminds a bunch of you of home, huh? Let's all make the most of it while we're here!"

Baraqiel heaves a sigh, daemon weasel-formed and half-hidden in the folds of their hood as it suspiciously squints at every noise its little ears pick up. "Speak for yourself." They do not seem 100% thrilled with this worldhop, come the new week, but do at least offer something to the travelers gathered. "For those of you less used to cities like this, there are motorized vehicles of varying sizes in Kings - try not to get run over by them."

With a soft laugh, Shamsiel will look at Baraqiel and gently pat them on their upper arm and their falconet daemon will then proceed to take flight from their shoulder. At least they seem to be relieved that Baraqiel gave them a warning for those who aren't going to be familiar with it. "And much like the previous worlds we've been to, please be mindful of what you end up doing here. We are just visitors, after all, and it'd be rude if we left it all a mess."


As for your effect of the week... Your past injuries have cleared, with no phantom pains left to haunt you, your loved ones, or your launders. Instead, you'll find that you are unable to speak dishonestly - any time you try, your words get stuck on the tip of your tongue and never quite make it out. It's honesty week, lads - no more lying to yourselves or anyone else.

JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE BIG ORANGE. HOW LONG IS THIS CONVENTION, ANYWAY?

MONDAY
★ The profile scrolls can be found over in the apartment lobby this week!
★ A mischief of rats has been spotted playing tug of war over a whole pizza dropped in the terminal.
★ Sometime during the townhall, a billboard suddenly and inexplicably changes. It now features a weird mascot saying, "YEAH" and literally nothing else.

TUESDAY
★ If you're riding the subways today, you might have the fortune(?) of spotting someone wearing a turkey mask. Sure, why not.
★ Hope you weren't expecting a peaceful day today! Around midday, music blasts through the park, and a flash mob emerges to take over with a questionable performance promoting their new show, Shr*k the Musical.

WEDNESDAY
★ As of this morning, there is a big bag of condoms tacked to the wall of the sixth floor of the Great Heights Apartments. There are lots of flavors and various sizes. I hate all of you so much.
( char voice ) some lubed, some ribbed, all Flavored™️
★ After the mini-event, a random billboard in the city has changed to say: SEE 👁️
★ Another billboard somewhere out in the city has changed to say: YOU 🐑
★ And a third billboard in the city has changed to say: SOON ⌛️
★ The following document will be pinned to the bulletin board in full view as soon as anyone enters the apartment complex.

SATURDAY
★ After trial, everyone will find a note under their bedroom doors that reads, "The End is coming! Stock up on food, weapons, and whatever you think might be useful. You will need it."
★ The courtroom staff wants to know why the hell you all brought animals into their facilities. Only service animals allowed, didn't you see the signs? :/

SUNDAY
★ After execution, a note will be posted onto the bulletin board in the apartment complex.

[ it's hard to find baraqiel in public, actually.

but when you are able to find them, they're in the park or the library, largely avoiding people. their daemon sticks to its smaller weasel form mostly, as well, to avoid being touched by random passersby in a large city such has this. it'll shift to eagle or tiger when in the park, but otherwise avoids these forms. if the people of the city find them strange in presence and appearance, apparently they intimidate them enough into leaving them alone.

unfortunately, they are aware this will not work on you. :\ ]

[ unlike the other week where shamsiel had made themselves sparse, they are out and about exploring the city. they won't be navigating the city with the ease of one of the locals but they won't be afraid of anything that may seem a bit foreign to others. cars? traffic lights? no worries here! however, they will make sure that their wings are decidedly tucked away from view.

some of the places where they'll end up frequenting the most will be some of the smaller stores in the star circle and the concert hall. their daemon will not be seen with them but can be spotted not too terribly far away perched elsewhere. ]

[ suriel will be wandering the city without fear this week, wings tucked neatly under their cloak to avoid causing trouble for the crowds. they'll be found most often in star circle, checking out the shops or stopping by the food carts. if they spot you, maybe they'll bring over a nice treat!

[Monika is, perhaps unsurprisingly, very excited to see a whole ass city. She meets Suriel halfway in the star circle, looking curiously at the food offered to her.]

Ooh... What is it?

[there's a familiar-looking girl walking around the city like she thinks she owns the place! she's not bundled up in winter clothing, this time, but her outfit is still very yellow. she's wearing sunglasses! ...but she pushes them up onto the top of her head and stares at monika.]

kaeya may feel someone's eyes on him. it's because a familiar-looking blonde girl is, like, peeking at him from where she's half-hidden behind some appropriately urban cover.]

yeah he feels them. this is a new place, after all, so he's usually pretty alert on the first day. albeit, he is nursing coffee from a paper take out cup and frowning. hangover.

polaris just comes over to her urban cover and sniffs before giving a soft grumble-talk. kaeya looks over his shoulder finally. ]

It's weird that somehow you and our group had the same destination in mind. Though somehow I doubt that Nerak is anywhere close to... wherever this place is.

Where does your mother live? Shouldn't she be worried?
