22 Remain
Another week, another world to explore. Once again, waking brings you to unfamiliar surroundings, the bitter touch of Nerak cold fading to the more mild weather of autumn. The sound of cars or people talking or faint music greets your ears, no matter the time of day or night, and the light pollution is intense. Hope you weren't counting on seeing the stars.
Welcome to Kings, where you'll have your pick of shopping, entertainment, cute date spots, or just about anything else that you can think of! The city has something to offer for everyone. You'll never be wanting for things to do here - just try not to get lost in the subways. The locals may not be the most willing to help out.

Waiting for you to join them in the main plaza of Star Circle are Baraqiel, Shamsiel, and Suriel. You might have to push your way through the crowds to reach them properly, but no one's blinking an eye at your Watchers today. There are other people in costume hanging around already. What's a few angels to add to the antics?
Suriel greets everyone with their usual cheerful smile, fox daemon pressed close to their ankles to avoid getting lost in the crowd. "I bet this world reminds a bunch of you of home, huh? Let's all make the most of it while we're here!"
Baraqiel heaves a sigh, daemon weasel-formed and half-hidden in the folds of their hood as it suspiciously squints at every noise its little ears pick up. "Speak for yourself." They do not seem 100% thrilled with this worldhop, come the new week, but do at least offer something to the travelers gathered. "For those of you less used to cities like this, there are motorized vehicles of varying sizes in Kings - try not to get run over by them."
With a soft laugh, Shamsiel will look at Baraqiel and gently pat them on their upper arm and their falconet daemon will then proceed to take flight from their shoulder. At least they seem to be relieved that Baraqiel gave them a warning for those who aren't going to be familiar with it. "And much like the previous worlds we've been to, please be mindful of what you end up doing here. We are just visitors, after all, and it'd be rude if we left it all a mess."

As for your effect of the week... Your past injuries have cleared, with no phantom pains left to haunt you, your loved ones, or your launders. Instead, you'll find that you are unable to speak dishonestly - any time you try, your words get stuck on the tip of your tongue and never quite make it out. It's honesty week, lads - no more lying to yourselves or anyone else.

[so last week, Allen got a certain outfit back. and being in this kind of modern city means there's modern makeup to be used to do up his face. maybe this kind of clown is a thing of the past but never let it be said that Allen Walker is not a very pretty white clown who pulls out all the stops when it comes to juggling, balancing, ribbon twirling, and acrobatics.
Rowan even has a cute little clown collar for herself and makes herself into part of the routine by occasionally stealing a prop or being a partner in the juggling.
it's a good way to make some coin on the side, too, really. mostly because Allen can and will easily approach people with a costume top hat expectantly. don't be cheap, now.]
B. Shopping
There really is so much...
["a gift" but he's never had to get one before and wouldn't know where to start? anyway, he's clearly giving a lot of the I <3 Kings merch a dubious look.]
A
no subject
which is to say, Rowan immediately nyooms over to take the peanut. no care about how close hand it. that peanut is hers.]
no subject
Rin's eyes widen, and he holds his palm flat, inviting Rowan to step up onto it if she wants to.]
no subject
then she sniffs palm.
nose boop.
and then she's bolting back to her clown owner.]
no subject
Rin looks up to Allen excitedly, like he's saying "DID YOU SEE THAT?" with the exuberant look on his face.]
no subject
have some fake flowers getting shoved in your face.]
no subject
Rinkou is the one who actually interrupts the show though. She will go over to try and pick up one of Allen's juggling props with her mouth.]
no subject
but whup, Rin will have to take the flowers because Allen has to OVERDRAMATIZE THE SCANDAL of his props being taken! time to chase after a wolverine!]
no subject
...it's not exactly a run, it's a wolverine-waddle, but same difference. She's still having a lot of fun and is dragging around a bowling pin or something.
The crowd seems to like it at least? And Rin is torn between laughing and trying to get Rinkou to behave.]
no subject
Allen watches them go, mock-despairing, before he pulls a colorful handkerchief from a sleeve as if to wipe at his mock-tears and pauses, bemused.]
Ah, I haven't found the right color, actually. Hold this for a moment.
[passes the tail end of what is revealed to be a chain of handkerchiefs tied together to Rin as he hunts for the proper color. the amount of handkerchiefs is... ridiculous. but also. colorful. Rin is steadily covered with all the colors of handkerchiefs.]
no subject
But Rin just takes the end of the chain of handkerchiefs, and wow that does get ridiculous. But as his arms fill up with the length of handkerchiefs, he gets an idea. He ties the end into a lasso, and he starts to swirl it around as best as he can.]
Here, use this!
[And he tosses the handkerchief-lasso to Allen.
...but he's still holding onto the long chain of handkerchiefs. He's definitely trying to lasso Allen here, for Comedy Purposes.]

B!
[ Dokja is here as well, though he seems to be more curious to what Allen is up to. Jin peeks her head from the black scarf wrapped around Dokja's neck, the black hognose snake flicking her tongue out curiously. Eyes the I <3 Kings merch. Hm. ]
no subject
Ah, well... something... I don't really know what I'm looking for, if I'm honest--or not specifically--
[blasted honesty week.]
A gift, I guess...? Maybe a few, even...
no subject
A gift for some friends? Do you know what they like?
[ Since he isn't busy, he clearly doesn't mind helping. ]
no subject
[embarrassing to say aloud, but Rowan starts to peck at his hair a bit as if fussing or even scolding Allen for something or another while he smiles and keeps patting her head.]
Though I'm starting to think it's maybe a little too selfish to do something like that--but I am already being like this, so...
no subject
[ He quietly shakes his head, looking back at the merchandise. Jin seems to bob her head a little. ]
I don't think it's selfish. A lot of people like to gift someone and have it be something that they can read as you when they look at it.
I got a gift for someone with that same thought in mind. [ ..sigh, honesty week. ]
no subject
So how did you go about picking it? That's where I'm having some trouble, I think, because I might know things they like, but what they like about me can be a little...
[trailing off in mild exasperation because honesty week.]
And it's not like I can ask when it's meant to be a surprise.
no subject
If I'm honest, [ WHICH HE KINDA HAS TO BE, GESTURES AT HONESTY WEEK ] I just went with what I think they would like best. Even if it doesn't really have any me on it... I think the thought is more important.
no subject
Probably.
no subject
But if you want to give it more thought, that's fine too. It's your decision.
no subject
Didn't really have the money or time for it back home, and--well, maybe I should have, but that's why I feel like it's important to do it right.
B
[ which flat says oh so cheerfully! he doesn't mind as he picks up an i ❤ kings sweater. ]
I think this would look good on you!
[ it's bright orange. ]
no subject
You think? It'd definitely attract attention.
no subject
I think so. You would never get lost in a crowd, that's for sure.
