Another week, another world to explore. Once again, waking brings you to unfamiliar surroundings, the bitter touch of Nerak cold fading to the more mild weather of autumn. The sound of cars or people talking or faint music greets your ears, no matter the time of day or night, and the light pollution is intense. Hope you weren't counting on seeing the stars.

Welcome to Kings, where you'll have your pick of shopping, entertainment, cute date spots, or just about anything else that you can think of! The city has something to offer for everyone. You'll never be wanting for things to do here - just try not to get lost in the subways. The locals may not be the most willing to help out.

Waiting for you to join them in the main plaza of Star Circle are Baraqiel, Shamsiel, and Suriel. You might have to push your way through the crowds to reach them properly, but no one's blinking an eye at your Watchers today. There are other people in costume hanging around already. What's a few angels to add to the antics?

Suriel greets everyone with their usual cheerful smile, fox daemon pressed close to their ankles to avoid getting lost in the crowd. "I bet this world reminds a bunch of you of home, huh? Let's all make the most of it while we're here!"

Baraqiel heaves a sigh, daemon weasel-formed and half-hidden in the folds of their hood as it suspiciously squints at every noise its little ears pick up. "Speak for yourself." They do not seem 100% thrilled with this worldhop, come the new week, but do at least offer something to the travelers gathered. "For those of you less used to cities like this, there are motorized vehicles of varying sizes in Kings - try not to get run over by them."

With a soft laugh, Shamsiel will look at Baraqiel and gently pat them on their upper arm and their falconet daemon will then proceed to take flight from their shoulder. At least they seem to be relieved that Baraqiel gave them a warning for those who aren't going to be familiar with it. "And much like the previous worlds we've been to, please be mindful of what you end up doing here. We are just visitors, after all, and it'd be rude if we left it all a mess."

As for your effect of the week... Your past injuries have cleared, with no phantom pains left to haunt you, your loved ones, or your launders. Instead, you'll find that you are unable to speak dishonestly - any time you try, your words get stuck on the tip of your tongue and never quite make it out. It's honesty week, lads - no more lying to yourselves or anyone else.

[The guitarist stops having a meltdown long enough to stare at froglmes in confusion.

Monika closes her fucking eye.]

If whoever did this can hear me— Work on your timing!

[Nero watches this happen and considers going to find Kotetsu when somebody DUMPS MORE SKITTLES IN.]

You should just choke on your candy...

[Whoah, there, Yuri? You're really picking up the world-famous frog detective, Herlock Sholmes? It's not like Sholmes can actually do anything except let out a surprised squeak of a noise.]

[He's dropped on the drummer's face, and...................nothing happens. The drummer just sniffs their nose, murmuring.]

[Sholmes looks up at Yuri with an expression that clearly reads as >8I.]

Don't look at me like that, I'm helping.

[ ...

he leans over and gives the drummer a pretty hefty slap on the face. hopefully sholmes doesn't fall. ] But hey, at least the whining in the corner stopped. Right?

You call that helping...?

[Behind her, the guitarists bursts into tears again. They can't go out looking like thiiiiiiiis....!!]

Oh, jeez.

[Nero considers the bowl of skittles.

The man sleeping on the couch.]

Sholmes, move before I hit ya with these.

[Candy sorting matters not if this idiot keeps destroying his hard work.]

[Sholmes sees the hand coming and leaps down onto the man's chest. Wow! Violence! What kind of lesson are you setting for kids here, Yuri??]

[He beeps at Nero, though, leaping again to the couch itself. No, I have no idea how the detective hat is staying on. Magic.]

Yeah? If a frog landing on your face doesn't wake you up, then I don't know what to tell you.

[ oh, there goes the frog. farewell frog. goodbye... ]

...

[ and then he'll move out of the way of Nero and his skittles too. ] Go for it. We might have to start checking for signs of life if they don't wake up this time. [ he's probably, obviously, breathing. but shhh. ]

[Hm.

She turns to the guitarist.]

Hey, if you scream in your bandmate's ear I'l give you the makeover of your dreams.

[They. Start to throw an even louder fit.]

[ Nero picks up the bowls, uncaring and ignoring the vocalist telling him to stop. Picky assholes got no rights.

He throws them at full force at the sleeping bandmate. ]

[The bowls of Sk*ttles soar....]

[And collide with the drummer. A rainstorm of Sk*ttles falls, over all of them. Froglmes is not out of the splash zone and gets pelted with a couple of green apple ones.]

[He's just :O]

[The drummer blinks awake, snorts.................and then turns over on the couch.]

[ there goes the skittles. yuri gets an orange one to the forehead. it's like the final straw for him internally and he's snapped now but outwardly? he looks fine. all good.

and then he just walks around and starts hefting up the couch. ]

While the guitarist continues to throw a tantrum, Monika daintily walks over to Sholmes and holds her hands out to him, palms up. Want to climb on board to escape the violence zone, buddy?]

[Take the out, Sholmes.

Nero... takes out a kitchen knife.]

Where can we stab him?

[Ohhhhkay! This is happening! Froglmes is happy for the offer, and beeps accordingly as he hops into Monika's hands.]

[He's just going to watch this chaos. This should be good. STAB! STAB STAB!!!]

[ hoo boy. ]

🎶 Hey 🎵 If you end up arrested I'm not bailing you ou--

[ ............

.............................................. ]

🎵 What the hell? 🎵

[Monika carefully cradles Sholmes in her hands, lifting him up as she steps away from Nero and Yuri. What the fuck.]

Nero, are you cursed aga—? [Oh. Yuri is singing. ] ... Is it spreading?

No, I just think this'll wake him up.

[Considers the jail time. Considers how annoying this person is.

The vocalist is definitely saying he'll call the police.

Nero considers throwing the vocalist onto the drummer.]

[Something sure is happening.]

[Froghlmes blinks at the sudden musical, turning towards the vocalist. He's thinking....considering.................]

[He thwaps onto the vocalist's face.]

[The vocalist lets out a high-pitched scream and falls over.]

[ yuri stares

and then finally pushes the couch over. the drummer rolls onto the floor with a thud and does not wake up. ]

🎶 Well now what? 🎵

[Monika is not here. Monika is staring at the exit, sighing.]

I want to leave...

[The guitarist and the vocalist are both screaming. The drummer continues to snow.]

Same.

[He kicks the drummer, who does not get up.

... He puts the knife away and hefts the guy over his shoulder like he's nothing more than a bag of flour.]

Which way are we goin'?

[The vocalist is trying to get Froghlmes off, but he is a persistent and wily gremlin, and just hops to the guitarist's shoulder.]

[He sticks out his tongue, which slaps on the man's cheek.]

[Mlem.]

[More screaming ensues.]

[ MLEM. ]

Whichever way leads to not here.

[ and they exit, stage left. accompanied by the sound of screaming. ]
